 Did you Know?

According to the American Jewish Historical Society, there have been 142 Jewish baseball players throughout the history of the professional baseball leagues, right up to the present.  According to Michael Barach, writing in the April 2004 issue of Moment Magazine, there will be eight active Jewish players in the major leagues in the 2004 season, including Jason Marquis, a left-handed reliever recently acquired from Atlanta by the St. Louis Cardinals.

All the Jewish players have been honored by a set of commemorative baseball cards, in a limited edition of 15,000 sets produced by Jewish Major Leaguers, Inc. and Fleer Trading Cards.
