Going to the grocery? If so, chances are you'll be shopping at Schnuck's or Dierberg's for your canned goods, produce, cereal, pasta, etc. And that means an opportunity to raise money for Traditional in a completely cost-free, painless way. Traditional has an agreement with Schnuck's and Dierberg's which returns 3-5% of the value of all your purchases to the shul. Think of that! You buy groceries anyway. Now you can help the shul in a substantial way without any additional outlay. If you spend as little as $50 a week (most families spend far more), that adds up to $2,600 a year. That returns $130 a year to Traditional. If only 100 families did this regularly, that would mean a $13,000 windfall to the shul every year. How does this miracle happen? Simply purchase Dierberg's grocery gift cards from the shul in $25 or $100 denominations. Buy as many or as few as you please. Then use the gift cards at the store in place of cash. You can even use them in the "Express" lane! Meanwhile, Schnuck's ("We make it easy.") has made it even easier. Carry their special donor card with you when you go to the store, and show it to the cashier before s/he begins ringing up your purchases. The shul will be credited with up to 5% of your purchase. No special gift card required. Nothing to buy in advance. This is great for the shul, and a competitive advantage for Schnuck's, so we expect Dierberg's will follow suit in the near future. We make it easy to purchase the Dierberg's gift cards and get the Schnuck's donor cards:
Dierberg's gift cards are purchased at face value, for the exact amount -- you pay nothing extra. This is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for Traditional by doing what you regularly do anyway. If you have any further questions, call Bernie Tobin at 636-532-4456 or the shul office at 314-576-5230.
