Traditional Congregation of Creve Coeur Seth D. Gordon, Rabbi Ephraim I. Zimand, Rabbi Emeritus
Before coming to Traditional, he served as a Rabbi for congregations in Ontario, Ohio and New York. Rabbi Zimand was instrumental in founding the Fellowship of Traditional Orthodox Rabbis in the United States. He is the recipient of the Adult Leadership Award for the upper New York State region of the National Conference of Synagogue Youth. He also was awarded the Meritorious Leadership Award from the National Conference of Synagogue Youth in 1980. Rabbi Zimand has been married to Esther Lea (Cohen) since 1959. The Zimands have six children and 18 grandchildren.

Rabbi Ephraim Zimand joined Traditional Congregation in 1981 with the goal of helping people live fulfilling Jewish lives. Rabbi Zimand received his B.A. in literature from Yeshiva College in 1958, his ordination from Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary in 1961, and completed an M.A. in Hebrew literature from Yeshiva University in 1961.
